Dr. Rice, his wife Kailey and son Everett reside in Farmington. Dr. Rice grew up in Apple Valley, a neighboring city to Farmington. He was active in hockey, broomball and football while attending Apple Valley High School. This is where Dr. Rice discovered what chiropractic can do for the injured athlete. It was his sophomore year when a football injury opened his eyes to chiropractic and it just made sense for him to set his sights on becoming a chiropractor to help others become well and feel great.
Following graduation from high school, Dr. Rice attended the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. While at the university, Dr. Rice was the President of the pre-chiropractic club, played for the club lacrosse team and graduated with a degree in exercise science with a pre-professional emphasis in the spring of 2005. Dr. Rice also attained personal training certification through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and the National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF).
For me the decision to live and practice chiropractic in the communities he grew up in was easy. Growing up in the area and having family and friends in all the surrounding cities it just seemed perfect to be in this area serving the community I've become so fond of.
Dr. Capes grew up on a small farm a few miles south of St. Cloud, MN. After high school Dr. Capes attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medicine, and was actively involved in club volleyball and softball.
She went on to receive her Doctorate of Chiropractic at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN. While attending the university Dr. Capes was actively involved in student senate, sports committee, and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
Today Dr. Capes is certified in the Webster Technique, which is a specific technique used in the sacroiliac/pelvic region mainly performed on pregnant women to keep their bodies properly aligned during pregnancy which allows optimal growth for the fetus.
She is also a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and the American Pregnancy Association.
Dr. Capes takes pride in caring for pregnant women as well as newborns and children. She knows each child is unique and precious, and always keeps that in mind when treating. Every child has the ability to function at his/her optimal level, but sometimes needs a little extra help achieving that potential which is where Dr. Capes thrives to help them get there.
Yours in Health,
Kimberly Capes, DC
